MALVA Biofarm & Arboretum is the only organic certified Arboretum in Southeastern Europe. In addition to our agricultural production and business, the Arboretum and biodiversity areas are certified by the ECOCERT inspection organization according to EOS (Ecocert European Organic Standard) and TR (Turkish Organic Agriculture Regulations).





ArbNET
Arboretum- It means a living tree museum. ArbNet is an interactive and collaborative international community of arboreta and tree-focused professionals headquartered in the United States. ArbNet facilitates the sharing of information, experience and other resources through the Arboretum Accreditation Program, which recognizes arboreta that meets professional standards and is open to development. Arboreta and our business completed their accreditation studies in 2018, when the program was established, and were included in the program. In 2013, our accreditation was updated as ‘MALVA Biofarm& Arboretum’, hosted by our corporate business Sultançiftliği.
In 2023, our accreditation was updated as ‘MALVA Biofarm& Arboretum’, hosted by our corporate business Sultançiftliği.
MALVA Biofarm& Arboretum is the only organic certified arboreta in South East Europe. Our focus is on practices that enhance and support biodiversity, local agricultural biodiversity, edible shrubs and trees.

BGCI
Sultanciftligi has been an active member of Botanic Gardens Conservation International, since 2017. BGCI has 700 members worldwide. Our education program has been published in BGCI Roots, International Education magazine. Our training and workshops are for schools, groups and professionals in Turkey and abroad. Permaculture, biodiversity and one-to-one learning is the basis of our methodology to introduce biodiversity to new generations.

GSCC
We are a member of BGCI GSCC Global Seed Conservation Challenge with our Seed Bank located on the historical farm building. We actively ensure continue the livelihood of ancestral seeds and provide for their nutritional use as well as heritage value. IPSN
The International Plant Sentinel Network (IPSN) is a global initiative dedicated to protecting plant health and improving plant biosecurity worldwide. IPSN is a collaborative network bringing together botanical gardens/arboreta, research institutions and plant health experts worldwide. Coordinated by Botanical Gardens Conservation International (BGCI), IPSN aims to provide a vital early warning system, identifying and sharing new and emerging pest and pathogen risks.
